"X-Pac VX21HS" is used for this product. X-Pac ™ ️ is a material developed by Dimension-Polyant, the world's largest manufacturer of sail cloth (yacht sails) in the United States. It is made up of 4 layers of durable water repellent 210 denier nylon + polyester thread X-PLY + 0.25mil polyester film + 50 denier polyester taffeta.

The surface of the fabric is durable and water repellent, so it repels water firmly. The fabric itself is completely waterproof, but the seams on the sewing machine are fine and perforated. In situations where you are hit by heavy rain for a long time, water will slowly soak through the seams.

Introduction
As with all RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR products, Yusuke Kurosawa would like the brand lovers to use "One Mile" without distinction from "daily use" and "mountain use".

The body part has a capacity of about 14 liters and the front pocket has a capacity of about 2 liters, for a total of 16 liters. This "One Mile" was also created with the functions, capacity, and design in mind so that it can be used in daily life and hiking without distinction.

The front pocket is a drawstring pocket. The drawstring pocket is a friendly design for user to take out belongings easily and keep the pocket opening wide. However, because it is a drawstring type, water may easily enters the pocket when it rains du to the pocket mouth does not close completely. To make up for that, the "One Mile" has a " hisashi"(eaves) at the top of the pocket. This hisashi prevents rain from entering. It does not affect store and take out the belongings so much.

There are two types of plastic parts at the mouth of the pocket, "tape tab" and "rubber cord". To widen the pocket opening, pull the "tape tab". When closing the pocket opening, pull the "rubber cord" while holding down the "tape tab" with one hand. At this time, close the pocket opening while being careful not to pull the rubber cord too much.

The side pockets are made of supple and durable 100% nylon mesh material. It is large enough to store two general 500ml PET bottles. The pocket opening can be adjusted with a rubber cord.

Shoulder Strap
The shoulder strap, which is also the "core"(かなめ) of the backpack, uses 210D ROBIC® Ripstop Nylon for the outer fabric. 210D ROBIC® is a combination of a basic square grid ripstop and ultra-high strength ROBIC® nylon 6. DWR (durable water repellent finish) is applied to the surface of the fabric. The back of the fabric has a unique backside coating called UTS (Ultra Tear Strength). Unlike traditional PU coatings, UTS has excellent hydrolysis resistance to improve tear strength and prevent hydrolysis even under humid environmental conditions. The core is made of EVA foam with a thickness of 10 mm, which has excellent resilience and weather resistance. One Mile is adopted a core material that is "sticky" so that the shoulders are not burdened as much as possible even with a certain amount of weight. Double Russell mesh is used for the back and back of the shoulder strap. Increases breathability and reduces stickiness caused by sweat.

When you use the hydration system, water hose should be passed over the upper part of the shoulder strap. There are no holes or slits for the hose, so use a fastener to pass the hose through.

A durable bungee cord with a diameter of 3 mm is provided in the front pocket. You can store helmet, towels, shirts taken off, and light clothing such as wind shells.

When attaching the ice ax, pass the ice ax correctly through the ice ax holder tape at the bottom of the backpack. Use a bungee cord to properly attach it to the backpack to prevent the blade from swinging.

At the top, there is a durable rubber cord with a diameter of 3 mm that can fix the ice ax and the trekking pole, and a hook adjuster with plastic parts. Hook the rubber cord firmly on the hook-shaped part of the plastic part, and then pull the tip of the rubber cord to fix the ice ax and trekking pole.

One Mile comes with a one-touch removable waist belt. You may remove the waist belt when you don’t need it on a daily basis use. It is recommended to use a waist belt to prevent the backpack from shaking when the backpack shakes, such as when running with this backpack.

There are two pockets inside the backpack. At the top of the front side, there is a small pocket with a key hook tape that can store small items. There is a pocket on the back side for storing a PC or hydration system. It is the size that MacBook 13inch can be stored. It is designed that the tip will come out a little so that the PC can be easily taken out. It is a specification that the pocket does not continue to the bottom part so that the impact is not directly transmitted to the PC. The material used is 210D ROBIC® Ripstop Nylon, which is the same as the surface of the shoulder pads.

Inside the back is a 7mm thick EVA foam back pad made of the same material as the inside of the shoulder pads.

Since this back pad is removable, it can also be used as a cushion to be laid under the buttocks when taking a break in a tent area.

The chest strap buckle is also an emergency whistle so you can use it when you need help in an emergency.

Fitting
