【Design note】(Written by Bocca)

It was during a walk on an island that I came across a red flower.
“Oh, the camellias are blooming,” I thought casually, during a short hike.

“Come to think of it, I saw something similar before the New Year too…”

When I looked it up, I realized that the red flower I had seen around December, which I thought was a camellia, was actually called a sasanqua (sazanka).

What’s the difference between a camellia and a sasanqua?
Well, clearly they’re different flowers — but I learned their petals and blooming seasons differ.

Both camellias and sasanquas are beautiful flowers that color the winter.

Their English names, I found, are:

  • Camellia: Camellia japonica

  • Sasanqua: Sasanqua camellia

Sasanqua.

“So that was a sasanqua…”
I felt I’d learned something new, and recalled the landscape where they bloomed abundantly.

The mountains, the flowers, the paths — each moment is always its own.

We captured a fragment of that scenery and printed it onto this Tyvek sheet.
We hope this small, one-tatami-mat-sized space in your backpack brings some breathing room to your heart.

(Please note: the actual color may vary depending on your display settings.)

【Function】

The material is a print-compatible Tyvek sheet, which is lightweight, strong, water-resistant, and breathable.
(Please note this is different from the construction-use Tyvek Housewrap sheets printed with large “Tyvek” logos.)

<About moisture>

Although it does not allow water droplets to pass through, the material is breathable, which means moisture vapor can pass through it.
If placed on moist ground and pressure is applied from above, moisture may become trapped underneath, leading to damp spots or condensation.

For example, if you sit for a long time on the sheet laid over damp ground, the area in contact may become moist.
This is a characteristic of Tyvek regardless of whether it’s made for printing or construction.

Therefore, this sheet may not be suitable for those who are especially sensitive to moisture.
It is intended for users who understand the material’s characteristics and wish to embrace a bit more “mountain power.”

<Regarding strength>

Even when placed on slightly sharp stones and pressure is applied, it rarely tears.
Even a grown man pulling with full force would struggle to rip it by hand.

However, Tyvek has no stretch, so pressing sharp objects against it or applying pressure on uneven surfaces may leave marks.

And since it’s only 0.170mm thick, sitting on it over small stones can feel painful — we recommend brushing away pebbles before use.

While it can also be used as a groundsheet under a tent, please do so at your own discretion with full understanding of its properties.

<Product Details>

  • Dimensions: W 970mm × L 1970mm

  • Weight: 129g

  • Material: Hard-type Tyvek
    (Initially has a crisp, paper-like texture that softens with use.)

  • Printing: Full-surface UV print on one side

  • Durability: High resistance to abrasion and weather due to UV printing, but fold lines may eventually develop cracks in the ink

  • Touch: Surface may feel slightly sticky at first due to the nature of UV ink; this will fade with use. No health concerns from the ink.

  • Caution: The material is very thin; handle with care to avoid cuts on the edges

  • Note: Can be used as MYOG material, but we cannot take responsibility for issues caused by personal modification.
